Beautiful Beach Country

Bonzur! Welcome to Mauritius, home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Africa. You don’t want to miss out on this unforgettable country filled with golf courses, mountain hiking, hunting, birdwatching, delicious food, gardens and much more! This country really does have it all and is the perfect place to host your next event.

Starting off with one of the main attractions of Mauritius — the beaches! Located in the middle of the turquoise Indian Ocean, Mauritius has a number of white sandy beaches that are perfect for the ocean lover in your group. The sun shines almost year-round in this area of Africa so it is the perfect place to lay out a towel and relax. Grand Baie is a must when visiting Mauritius. This tourist hub is home to many activities such as diving, water skiing, sailing, and windsurfing. If you find yourself beached out for the day, head on over to the aquarium and museum they have close by!

The country is filled with a variety of different parks. Black River Gorges National Park is home to one of the rarest birds in the world, the pink pigeon, making it a popular attraction among visitors. This park is rather large, so put your walking shoes on! As you walk along the trails you will be taken aback by the beauty of the island’s peaks, landscape, waterfalls and wildlife.

For those interested in a more unique experience, you can check out the village of Chamarel. This small village located in the district of Savanne is home to the highest waterfall in Mauritius as well as the Seven Coloured Earths. Be sure to walk up to the waterfalls viewing platform where you get an unmatchable view of the waterfall as it hits the pool 100 meters below. Looking for more unmatchable views? The mesmerizing colors of the Seven Coloured Earths will be a highlight for your attendees. These sand dunes are made up of seven different distinct colors including red, browns, and purples. Be sure to bring your camera so that you can boast about the views on your trip when you get back home!

Like many other cities we service, Mauritius is packed with history and culture. Château de Labourdonnais is a grand mansion that invites you to the nineteenth century Mauritius lifestyle. The tour will take you on an adventure filled with history of the island as well as tastings of onsite products such as rum, fruit juice, fruit paste and jam. Another great spot filled with rich history is the Grand Bassin. This crater lake is sacred to Hindus and is surrounded by brightly colored statues of gods and Hindu temples. If you find yourself in Mauritius at the end of February, you will be able to experience Maha Shivaratri where half a million Hindus make a pilgrimage to this sacred lake.

Mauritius is filled with so many more great sites for your attendees to visit, these are just a scratch of the surface. So whether you are relaxing on the beaches of Grand Baie or walking around Black River Gorges National Park, Mauritius is the perfect destination for large groups interested in a variety of activities.
