Prime Location

As the name suggests, the Radisson Blu Resort Mosi-oa-Tunya is located within the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park – one of Zambia’s lesser-known national parks.

Mosi Oa Tunya National Park is also home to many elephants and rhinos – both of which you can see on a short game drive from the hotel.

The hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner of the park, right on the river bank. Its location on the banks of the Zambezi gives it a unique charm we’ve come to love after many visits.

The moment you walk through the main entrance, you’ll glimpse the Zambezi River just a few meters away. And as you walk through its beautiful gardens, you’ll immediately feel connected to the local nature.

Best of all, the Radisson Blu Resort Mosi-oa-Tunya is just 9.8km/ 6.1mi from Livingstone’s main attraction – The Victoria Falls! You can organize a 4-minute shuttle ride from the hotel to the falls at any time of the day.

Livingstone’s Harry Mwanga Nkumbula international airport is just 15 minutes drive away. You can get to most places in downtown Livingstone and surrounding areas in less than 20 minutes.

Versatile Events and Conference Spaces

  • Total meeting space: 1,244 sqm./13,390 sq. ft.
  • Meeting rooms: 7
  • Main ballroom: 544 sqm. 5,856 sq. ft.

The Radisson Blu Resort Mosi-oa-Tunya includes a versatile and modern conference center that can comfortably host everything from small board meetings and intimate private functions to large global conferences.

The conference center is adjacent to the main hotel, accessible via a short covered walkway. Inside, you’ll find the seven meeting rooms, each accommodating from 10-24pax, and a main exhibition hall.

The Main ballroom 544 sqm / 5,856 sq. ft. can accommodate 350pax or be partitioned into three separate spaces. The partitions are soundproof and blend seamlessly with the space’s decor – your event participants will barely notice them.

Outside the event and meeting spaces, there’s a large lounge with comfy seating and breakaway areas – perfect for participant networking or remote working station for your participants to jump on a call or work while attending an event.

The Radisson also boasts two large outdoor event spaces. The Mukuni Gardens can host up to 150pax in a traditional Zambian-style cocktail party configuration. And a short walk away is a large open space for tents, exhibitions, and other big conference needs.

You can hire the Radisson’s cruise boat for a pirate event or function. The boat has three levels with dining and bar facilities, fast Wi-Fi, and a sleek, modern aesthetic. Take your event up the Zambezi, with the river’s many islands and abundant wildlife providing a spectacular backdrop.

World-Class Design and Facilities

The Radisson Blu Resort Mosi-oa-Tunya exudes modern elegance while capturing the spirit of its surroundings. The decor throughout the resort fuses contemporary design with rustic touches and celebrations of Zambia’s landscape and cultures.

The slow flow of the Zambezi River infuses the hotel with a lackadaisical atmosphere. While the open spaces and luxuriant indoor and outdoor lounges guarantee everyone attending your event will immediately feel at ease.

Even on the hottest days of the year, there’s plenty of shade and a cool breeze throughout. Accommodations and conference facilities have plentiful aircon, too (just in case).

Lastly, fast, reliable Wi-Fi is available in every corner of the resort. You don’t even need a password. Just sign into the guest portal by pushing a button, and your devices will automatically connect as you move through the grounds and facilities.

Food and Beverage

The resort boasts three fantastic on-site restaurants: The Kuomboka Restaurant, Mopani Bar & Lounge, and the Boma Restaurant.

Each location offers an a la carte menu with a range of local and international dishes. The portions are enormous, and the food is sumptuous.

You can also avail of the daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. The massive buffets offer everything from continental European stables to classic Indian dishes and local favorites. Whether you’re hosting local or international participants, or a mix of both, there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy.

The poolside bar stays open late, perfect for post-event sundowners with your fellow participants.

Leisure

As a 4-star hotel, the Radisson Blu Resort Mosi-oa-Tunya offers more than just excellent conferencing facilities.

The hotel’s grounds include three outdoor swimming pools (including a third-story rooftop infinity pool), abundant indoor and outdoor lounge areas, a dedicated spa, and much more. You can also make the most of the large, landscaped gardens to take a leisurely stroll or find a quiet corner to unwind away from the crowds.

Our favorite spot is the riverfront sundeck.

Perched atop the banks of the Zambezi, with the river’s waters lapping beneath your feet, and the occasional hippos lazing on the opposite banks, it’s the most relaxing part of the resort to start or end your day.

The Radisson also has a fantastic gym and tennis court open from 5am until late evening.

Tours and Activities

Of course, given the Radisson Blu Resort Mosi-oa-Tunya’s location, your event participants will undoubtedly want to see Victoria Falls and the surrounding nature.

The hotel has a dedicated booking office on-site and has partnered with Bushtracks Africa, one of the leading tour operators in the area. They can help you organize everything from walking tours of the falls and game drives in Mosi oa Tunya to bungee jumping from Victoria Falls bridge and white-water rafting the Zambezi’s rapids.

You can also organize sunset cruises on the Radisson’s private riverboat. It’s the most modern, sleek, and comfortable of the many boats touring the Zambezi. It offers attendees the perfect post-event wind-down, as they slowly cruise up the river, drinks in hand, enjoying the spectacular views and peaceful ambiance.

Family-Friendly

If you want to bring your family to an event or conference at Radisson Blu Resort Mosi-oa-Tunya – don’t worry. They’ll have plenty to keep them entertained!

As well as the many excellent leisure and tour facilities we’ve already mentioned, the resort also has a dedicated kids zone open daily. There’s also a mini golf course for kids of all ages to let off some steam.

Accessibility

The Radisson has ensured the entire resort is accessible to everyone. The main grounds are completely flat, and most of the walkways are covered in case of bad weather – so there’s no risk of slipping.

Golf carts are also available to ferry event attendees and guests between the rooms, villas, gym, and conference center.

In fact, Radisson has inadvertently put its accessibility efforts to the test first-hand. On our most recent visit, the hotel manager was recovering from a broken leg. Throughout our stay, he could be seen running the entire business and inspecting every area in crutches and a cast.

Sustainability

Given the delicate balance the Radisson Blu Resort Mosi-oa-Tunya must strike – providing 4-star luxury and modern conference facilities without negatively impacting the surrounding nature that makes it so unique – we’re encouraged to see the many steps it’s taking to reduce its carbon footprint and impact on the environment.

Throughout the hotel, you’ll be reminded to be conscious of your water and electricity usage and to reduce both.

You can also ask about the many steps the resort, and the Radisson hotel group in general, are taking to make their operations more environmentally sustainable and efficient.

4-Star Accommodation

The Radisson Blu Resort Mosi-oa-Tunya has 200 sleeping rooms throughout the resort, divided between the following seven standards:

  • Superior Room with Terrace
  • Premium Room with Zambezi River View and Terrace
  • Suite with Zambezi River View and Terrace
  • Premium Suite with Zambezi River View and Terrace
  • Premium Villa Suite with Zambezi River View and Terrace
  • Two-Bedroom Presidential Villa with Zambezi River View and Terrace

Each room offers something different.

The ground-level superior rooms open into the resort’s stunning, expansive lush green gardens just a stone’s throw from the river. Meanwhile, higher suites provide unparalleled views beyond the Zambezi deep into Zimbabwe. The villas are tucked away in a quiet corner, guaranteeing privacy and tranquility throughout your stay.

At night, the rooms create a comfy cocoon courtesy of blackout curtains and double-pane windows. The only noise you’ll hear is the gentle hum of crickets in the gardens outside – guaranteeing a restful and rejuvenating night’s sleep between busy days of events, conferences, and sightseeing.

Room service is available, with daily cleaning and turndowns. And the Wi-Fi connection remains strong in even the furthest away villas.

But our favorite touch is the Ferrero Rocher chocolates you’ll find waiting for you in your room every evening.
